One reason that Good Taste (and smell) sensations are important is that they prepare our bodies for digesting food. For example, tasting and smelling food trigger our salivary glands and digestive “juices”.

Good Health is an important part of leading a nutritious lifestyle. Combined with physical activity, your diet can help you to reach and maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of chronic diseases (like heart disease and cancer), and promote your overall health.


Sustainability is important for many reasons including: Environmental Quality – In order to have healthy communities, we need clean air, natural resources, and a nontoxic environment. Growth – UNTHSC’s enrollment continues to grow, so we require more resources such as energy, water, and space.

Our Achievements

Our ambition is to reduce the global Foodprint to a minimum. So far we have been able to compensate for more than 243 ton CO2, which equals driving 30 times around the world.

Carbon Hydrates does not charge any service fees for calculating the climate impact of the food you serve or consume. Our revenue is focusing solely on European and governmental subsidiaries.

Accurate Forecasting

Carbon Hydrates calculates the climate impact of the food you serve. Either per dish on your menu, or through an analysis of the products you purchase. We provide insightful graphics with our Impact Assessment Tool.

There are many web applications and solutions which businesses can use to provide customers with 24/7 support and service. Instead of having a chat bot we make use of active chefs distributed globally.


My husband and I own a six-acre farm in Parkdale, Oregon. We try to make you feel the labor and love that’s gone into every dish. Carbon Hydrates allows us to compensate for the emissions from our farming equipment.
